Outdoor museum

The outdoor open air museum is a lovely place to visit during both summer and wintertime.

Among 29 historical buildings, you can relax and enjoy the outdoors at the grilling and picnic areas, try the activity trails for children, and check out the outdoor stage, all of which can be accessed during or outside museum opening hours.

Food

During the summertime the café is open on Sundays and serves waffles and Norwegian sour cream porridge rømmegrøt. The rest of the week at the museum's traditional general store you can buy ice cream, soda, coffee, tea, or hot cocoa.

Animals and berries

There are farm animals at the museum the whole summer, with pigs, chickens, and sheep. During berry season the museum is full of ripe raspberry and blueberry bushes.
