Tømmerruta (Timber route) is an area in the eastern part of Greater Oslo. Only 20 minutes outside central Oslo, you will find yourself in the countryside with lots of activities where you enjoy cultural sites, easy hiking, Amcars or zip-lining high above ground.

Tømmerruta is a network of members within various businesses, offering activities, accommodation and local story telling. It is a popular area for outdoor recreation with plenty of space, peaceful surroundings and beautiful nature.

You will find one of the largest ramsar sites in Norway here, as well as beautiful views into the Northern Europe’s largest inland delta.

We offer family activities, contemporary art exhibitions, guided tours and historical railway tours. Just 10 min by train from central Oslo you will find Lillestrøm city center with restaurants, art exhibitions, concerts and coffee shops.
