- It was difficult for the museum to acquire a real tenant farmers house in Eidsvoll. They were either in too poor condition or the owners did not want to sell them
- So this house was built from logs from a servant's hall at Egger, and shows how a tenant farmers home would have looked like. The servant's hall at Egger had the same size and shape as a tenant farmers home
