Experience the Secret Language of the Cod – A Musical and Scientific Journey!
Researchers Rebekah Oomen and Claudia Lacroix will take us on a fascinating journey into the world of cod, exploring their local "dialects" and how human-made myths have contributed to hiding the fact that cod is an endangered species.
Together with John Andrew Wilhite-Hannisdal, we will experience musical interpretations based on the actual sounds of cod – grunts, groans, clicks, and drumming. These unique sounds blend into a musical journey that engages the senses.
After the lecture, children will have the opportunity to explore small synthesizers and experiment with sounds inspired by the ocean and the world of cod.
Your ticket includes entry to the museum's exhibitions, so you can take the opportunity to explore even more after the event. Our café will be open, offering fresh pastries and coffee for purchase. You are also welcome to bring your own packed lunch if you prefer.
