The one who is never afraid, is never brave

Thomas Fredrik Christian Wyller, prisoner number 4703

Grini prison camp was the largest German prison camp in Norway during World War II. Almost 20,000 prisoners were held captive during the four years the camp existed

The history of the Grini prison camp can be found on and in the walls of one of the original barracks from the camp. The first thing you encounter when you enter the museum is a two-meter-high and nine-meter-wide film of wandering Grini prisoners right there on the wall.
