The museum is housed in an authentic prison barracks from Grini prison camp
The exhibitions at the museum are based on the prisoners' own stories and convey the story of the prison camp through film, images, sound, objects and modern technology.
It is possible to buy coffee / tea / mineral water and lefser at the museum. These must be enjoyed outdoors. At the museum, we sell books about Grini prison camps, postcards and some other products.

You can buy entrance ticket to the Grini Museum in advance via MiA's ticket system.
How get there
Grinimuseet is located in Jøssingveien 31 on Eiksmarka in Bærum.
Bus 230 Ila goes from Eiksmarka metro station in Bærum to the Grini museum. Get off at the Ila end stop. The bus takes approx. 10 min. The Grinimuseet is located in the yellow barracks to the right of the bus stop
