About the courseholder

Rebecca Hawkes works as an artist across multiple mediums, bringing this diversity of practice into Wilder Kitchen. With a background as a graphic designer, exhibited photographer, and professional chef, her work may span different disciplines, yet it is united by core values: sustainability, storytelling, and the cultivation of inclusive, diverse spaces.

At the centre of her practice is ‘nature as teacher’. Through cooking with plants, she creates opportunities to share stories, nourish guests, and invite them into moments of presence. Meals become memories: large tables transform strangers into companions, and outdoor gatherings remind people of the landscapes that sustain them. In eating together, participants not only connect with each other but also nurture the nature within.
