Átomo Omreisende Fanzinotek // Viviana Cardenas

Átomo is a roaming fanzinotek with a collection of zines and publications from Latin America, Scandinavia, and Europe. At the moment it has over 300 zines and it is expanding. These zines have been gathered by contacting other zine libraries, printing workshops, zine festivals and zine makers.

Átomo’s mobile structure is a DIY cart which functions to hold, display and tour with archive and takes inspiration by the vibrant and inventive mechanisms of street vending used in Bogotá-Colombia.

For KulturGlimt Átomo Omreisende Fanzinotek will be pop-up at Avistegnernes Hus - MiA where the public will be able to browse through the collection and engage in informal conversation about her research on self publishing and unconventional circulation strategies with artist Viviana Cárdenas who runs the project and also works at ATH.

The project is possible by the support of the LOK scheme by KORO.
